Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DevPartner("DevPartner", "we") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use our website, applications and APIs (the "Platform"). It is issued under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, phone, password hash, organisation, role.
• Land assessment data — city, locality, pincode, plot area, road width, intent, FSI strategy, and the outputs we compute.
• Usage data — pages viewed, searches, exports, device and browser info, IP address.
• Communication data — emails, support tickets, in-app messages.
• Payment data — handled by our payment processor; we store only the transaction reference, plan and amount.

We do not knowingly collect data of children under 18. We do not request sensitive personal data such as government ID numbers, biometrics or financial account details for free use of the Platform.

2. How we use your data

• to operate, secure and improve the Platform;
• to compute indicative feasibility outputs and personalise recommendations;
• to communicate updates, transactional notices and (with consent) marketing;
• to comply with law, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms;
• to share with partners only when you choose to hand off your assessment to them.

3. Legal basis (DPDP Act)

We process personal data on the basis of your consent at the point of collection, or to provide a service you have requested ("certain legitimate uses" under Section 7 of the DPDP Act). Marketing communications require separate opt-in.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We share personal data only with:

• Processors — hosting, analytics, email and payment vendors bound by data-processing terms.
• Partners you select — e.g. DevPartner, Buildraa, Dwellraa, Lendraa or specific developers, when you click "hand off" / "connect".
• Authorities — when required by law, court order or to prevent harm.
• Acquirers — in a merger, acquisition or restructuring, subject to equivalent protections.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and CSRF protection, and analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics 4 / GTM dataLayer events such as page_view,search and assessment_export) to understand usage. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser; the Platform will still function.

6. Retention

We retain account data while your account is active and for up to 36 monthsthereafter for legal, tax and audit purposes. Land assessment data is retained for the same period unless you delete it earlier. Backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.

7. Security

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access, audit logging, row-level security in our database and regular vulnerability scanning. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Platform at your own risk.

8. International transfers

Data may be processed by our cloud and SaaS sub-processors outside India. Such transfers occur only to countries not restricted by the Central Government under the DPDP Act and are governed by standard contractual protections.

9. Your rights (Data Principal)

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

• access a summary of your personal data and how it is processed;
• seek correction, completion, updating or erasure of your data;
• nominate another person to exercise rights in case of death or incapacity;
• grievance redressal (see Section 11); and
• withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).

DevPartner is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed via the Platform. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at dpo@devpartner.in.
